Waders On The Shore
In the shallow waters
Dabbling in the sun
A pair of dainty avocets
Surrounded by their young
On a beach of shingle
Almost out of sight
Ringed plover known as little
In shades of brown and white
High above the busy lakes
The buzzards wheel and soar
Out of sight and out of mind
Of waders on the shore.
