Sunset Silhouettes
Silhouettes in the sunset
The old pier standing proud
Figures on the slipway
'Neath orange bands of cloud
Far across the water
The sun has dipped from sight
Its rays now swiftly fading
As quietly comes the night
The silver sea now burnished
With just a tinge of gold
As darkness lays its mantle
To seaside town enfold.
