Seafront Affront
You've seen displays at Chelsea
Some towns have floral miles
You won't find that in Clevedon
We have a different style
Our bandstand has a background
Of parched and yellowed ground
No better lack of interest
On seafront could be found
No bed in vibrant colours
No blooms to please the eye
No scents to lure a passing bee
No sign to tell us why
Yet gardeners might be happy
To spy a little crumb
Amid this devastation
There's one geranium.
