Sally's Cherry Tree
Like tulips yearly come to life
A beauteous tree recalls the wife
I handfast wed in Norfolk sun
With ribbons linked to join as one
As blossom smothers every bough
I recall the solemn vow
We made before the family gaze
Aware the limit of our days
Sadness softened through the years
Remembered laugh to chase the tears
Each cherry branch in memory
Of one who meant so much to me.
