RNLI On Call
While children on the sunny beach
Play with bat and ball
In the wings there waiting
The volunteers on call
For those in peril on the sea
They're always on standby
The selfless men and women
Of our RNLI
Their lives prepared to put at risk
In weather foul or fair
Their comradeship so vital
As dangers they all share
And they depend on charity
This service to preserve
A flow of our donations
The least that they deserve.
