Dougie's Guitar Distinction
He is a wizard of the strings
A maestro on the fret
Yet he is but eleven -
It’s easy to forget.
The fingers that fought battles
And mastered awesome games
Now conjure notes from out the air
For classical refrains
Move over that Segovia
Mark Knopfler stand aside
That Dougie is the one to watch
His Grandpa’s full of pride
The boy’s done good it’s certain
And if I failed to mention
He didn’t just nail his exam
He passed it with distinction.
